Introduction:

The anthropogenic activities like deforestation, pollution, indiscriminate construction, and population explosion are responsible for the biodiversity loss. These factors impose a strain on the species, which lead to their extinction. Prior to becoming extinct, a species number determines its current status. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) categorizes species on the basis of their number into several classes like rare, threatened, endangered, critically endangered, and extinct.
