Concept introduction:

Chloroplasts are the organelles that consist of double outer membrane enclosing a semi-fluid called as stroma. Thylakoids are the interconnected enclosed compartments embedded in the stroma. They often form a disk-shaped structure which is arranged into stacks called grana.
