Summary Introduction

Ionizing radiation is an electromagnetic radiation. It is one of the physical methods used to destroy the pathogenic microorganisms. It possesses adequate energy to generate ions from molecules with which the radiation molecules will collide each other. The ionizing radiation unit is termed as Roentgen. It is widely used to destroy the microbes in medical supplies and canned foods.
