Program Plan Intro

Routing:

• Routing is the process of determining the path or route through the network from source computer to the destination computer for sending a message.
• Some networks have many possible paths from one computer to another computer.
• Some other networks have only one logical path from source computer to the destination computer.
• To route the messages through the network, some devices are used and router is a device which is used for routing.
• Every router has a routing table which is used to specify how the message has to travel from one computer to another computer over the network.

Transmission Control Protocol (TCP):

• TCP is a protocol used in transport layer of internet model.
• It is used to deliver the packets to its destination.
• It breaks the large message into smaller packets as it is easier to process and transmit the smaller packets.
• It ensures the reliable delivery of packets.
• It connects the data link layer and application layer.

Internet Protocol (IP):

• IP is a protocol used in network layer of internet model.
• It is used to route the packet through an optimal path in a network.
• IP performs addressing to find the next computer in an optimal path.

Explanation of Solution
