Introduction: Microbial metabolism is a way through which the microorganisms acquire the energy as well as nutrients (for example, the carbon) they require for living and reproducing. A variety of metabolic strategies are used by microbes, and microbial species could often be distinguished from one another depending on the metabolic characteristics.
