To review:

The reason behind high amount of slow-twitch fibers in postural muscles as compared to the muscles involved in sprinting.

Introduction:

There is two type of muscle fibers in our body, namely, the white (fast-twitch) fibers and the red (slow-twitch) fibers. The red fibers contain a high amount of myoglobin, are highly oxidative and are less likely to get fatigued. Whereas, the white fibers have less amount of myoglobin and are more likely to get fatigued.
