Chapter 4.7, Problem 4MQ
Summary Introduction
In transcription, RNA molecules (mRNA, tRNA, or rRNA) are synthesized from DNA. The three main steps involved in transcription are initiation, elongation, and termination. The RNA polymerase enzyme catalysis this process. The RNA polymerase enzyme synthesizes RNA sequence based on the genetic information found in the template DNA. The mRNA molecule encodes the genetic information that is translated into a protein molecule using ribosomes.
