Summary Introduction
The important characteristics are shared by a group of genes that is known as a gene family. The building blocks of DNA are similarly present in a group of gene families. In most cases, these genes have instructions that could help to synthesize proteins with similar structure and function. In some other cases, a group of genes that codes for different proteins produced by these genes are functioning together as a unit in a single pathway.
