Introduction: A living organism responds to the external or internal stimulus with the help of the nervous system. The nervous system receives the information given by the stimulus which is then transmitted to the spinal cord and the brain where it is integrated. Neurons and the glial cells are the two main types of cells that make up the nervous system.
