Introduction: The nervous system contains two types of cells that are neurons and glial cells. Neurons are the specialized type of cells that help in the transmission of signals; whereas, glial cells are the support cell that provides nourishment and protection to the neurons. Glial cells make up almost 50% of the brain volume.
