Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
The photoelectric effect is the effect in which the light falls on a surface to eject the electrons from the surface. The light falls on the surface consists the energy in the form of the packets of energy. The one packet of the energy is called photon.
The photon from the incident light interacts with electron like the particles. The energy of the photon transfers from the photon to electron in the surface due to collision of the light particles with the electrons.
Conclusion:
The photoelectric effect supports the particle model of the light because the energy of the light transfer by the particle like photons.
