Concept explainers
The relation of the wave inference with electron energy levels in an atom.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
The atoms that have the multiple electrons are able to emitting energy. The energy emission from an atom depends on the number of energy levels. The number of energy emissions is same as the number of energy levels in an atom.
The electron in an atom emits or absorbs energy due to movement of electron between the different energy levels. The amount of the emitted or absorbed energy remains equal to the difference of energy between the different energy levels. The wave inference of the energy emission observes due to movement of the electron between different energy levels.
Conclusion:
The multiple emission from the single source is the reason for the wave inference with electron energy levels in an atom.
