Lipids and carbohydrates are the two most important energy sources. Carbohydrates are the important energy source for the brain. Lipids are an important energy source that when consumed, increases the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins including vitamin A and K.

Introduction:
Lipids perform major biological functions like storing energy, signaling and acting as structural components of cell membranes.
