The areas of the world from the Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere to the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern hemisphere, near the equator, are collectively known as tropical regions. Tropical rainforests have a typical tropical climate, which is hot and humid. This climate is perfect for the growth of plants and animals. Therefore, these regions are very rich in biodiversity.
