To Explain: Being burned by steam more damaging than by boiling water.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction: The steam has more energy than the boiling water.
The water start boiling at 100°C. The steam is produced when the liquid converted into vapors. Thus, the steam has more energy than boiling water. As there is more heat, more damage can be done to the body. The reason of more damage of burning by steam is due to more heat energy.
Conclusion:
Due to more heat energy in steam compared to boiling water, there is more damage when burnt by steam as compared to that with boiling water.
