Introduction:

A horse belongs to the order Perrisodactyla. The evolution of horses took place in North America. The Eohippus become extinct approximately 10,000 years ago. An ancient horse was small and dog-sized. Horses share a common ancestor because they all have mobile upper lips, smooth tooth structure and an odd number of the toes on each foot.
