Concept explainers
The connection between temperature and kinetic energy.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Temperature indicates how hot or cold is a body. Kinetic energy is possessed by a body by virtue of its motion.
Temperature and kinetic energy are related at a level of molecules that make up a body. A body with higher temperature has greater kinetic energy than a body with lower temperature. Its constituent molecules vibrate with greater energy as compared to later one.
