Concept introduction:
Encephalitis is the inflammation of the brain. There are two different classes of encephalitis, namely: acute and subacute. Viral infection is the sole cause of acute encephalitis. Arboviruses cause one category of viral encephalitis. Viruses from herpes family are the other causative agents.
