The heart is the hollow and muscular organ of the body that functions as a pump to circulate the blood throughout the body. The human heart results in double circulation as the right side of the heart receives deoxygenated blood throughout the body and simultaneously the left side of the heart transfer oxygenated blood from the heart to body parts and results in double circulation.
