Interpretation:
The difference between a vasodilator and a bronchodilator needs to be explained with an example.
Concept introduction:
A bronchodilator is a substance that helps in the broadening of the bronchi and bronchioles by decreasing the resistance in the respiratory airway. This increases airflow to the lungs.
They are not effective in most of the lung diseases. On the other hand, Vasodilators are drugs used to open blood vessels. The muscles in the walls of the arteries and veins are affected by them by preventing the tightening of the muscles and narrowing of the wall. This results in a better flow of the blood via vessels.
