The way in which the control of adrenal cortex is different from the control of the adrenal medulla.
Introduction:
Adrenal gland comprise two parts the adrenal cortex and the adrenal medulla. Cortex is the outer part and medulla is the inner part. Both of them secrete different hormones. Cortex produces cortisol hormone that helps the body to respond in stressed conditions. It also produces the aldosterone hormone which is also called the anti diuretic hormone and it helps to control blood pressure and retains the water in the kidneys. Adrenal medulla secretes the hormone adrenaline which helps the body to fight in adverse situation.
