Introduction:
It is a leaf-like gland and lies close to stomach. It contains a duct through which it pours its secretion for the process of digestion; the pancreatic juice. Besides this, it secretes hormones too that helps in the regulation of calcium level and the blood sugar level as it performs both the exocrine and the endocrine functions so it is called a mix gland.
