The three zones that makes up the adrenal cortex and the kind of hormones they produce.

Introduction:

Adrenal gland is called the supra renal gland, as they are located above the kidneys. They secrete some hormones like the ACTH hormone (Adrenocorticotropic hormone), epinephrine hormone. These glands are also known as the suprarenal gland as they are located over kidney. They are also called the fight or the flight glands because they secrete a hormone called adrenaline which gives body the energy to either fight or to run away from the emergency or unfavorable situation.
