Introduction:

cAMP response element binding protein (CREB protein) is an essential transcription factor, containing two identical subunits, which regulate the transcription via covalent modification. It is activated in response to cell-signaling molecules, which cause an increase in the cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP) concentration.
