Concept explainers
The theme of this chapter is that DNA guides the chemistry of every living organism on the planet. Name three traits you possess that are dictated by your DNA.
Interpretation:
The three traits possessed by me that are dictated by my DNA have to be named.
Concept Introduction:
DNA:
DNA is a self-replicating genetic material that is present in all living organisms. It carries genetic information from one generation to the several successive generations which brings several physical traits in an individual as a sign of resemblance from his/her parents and ancestors. Those traits are the uniqueness to the individual.
Explanation of Solution
The three traits possessed by me that are dictated by my DNA are:
- • Thin and fast hair growth,
- • Brown eyes, and
- • Broad forehead.
These are the three physically noticeable traits that I believe to have been dictated and inherited from my parents and ancestors, by my DNA.
