Concept explainers
To Explain: The change in the lenses in the eyes when we look at this book and then look out the window at a distant object.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
It is a transparent object that is made either of glass or plastic that uses the laws of refraction to form an image of an object.
The ciliary muscles can contract and improve the curvature of the lens in order to thicken the lens. The heightened curvature of the lens helps the eye to focus on a nearby object. When the individual then has to look at a distant target, the muscles relax and the attention of the lens moves to a point further away.
Conclusion:
To focus nearer objects the lens become thicker and to focus on objects that re far away the lens become thin.
