Concept explainers
To Describe: How focal length of a concave lens change as lens becomes more curved.
Answer to Problem 11STP
Thefocal length of convex lens is decreases.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
A curved mirror is a mirror with a curved surface which reflects. The surface can be convex or concave. Many curved mirrors have surfaces shaped like part of a sphere but often other shapes are used in optical devices.
Focal length of any lens is depend on the curved shape of the lens. As the convex lens is curved the focal point is more closer towered the pole of the convex lens i.e. focal length is decreases.
Conclusion:
Hence, the focal length of convex lens is decreases.
