Interpretation: Higher Boiling point.

Conceptual Introduction:

Alkanes: Boiling point of alkanes increases with no. of carbon atom in their molecules. Increase in boiling points is due to increase in molecular mass is due to an increase in magnitude of van der waals’ forces.

Alcohols: have higher boiling points due to the existence of strong hydrogen bond between the molecule. Due to the strong inter-molecular hydrogen bonding it requires extra heat to separate the molecule linked together.

Ethers: have boiling points lower than alcohols. This is due to the presence of intermolecular hydrogen bonding in alcohols.
