Knowing that LAB = 3 ft , determine (a) the largest values of LBC and LCD that can be used if the allowable load P is to be as large as possible, (b) the magnitude of the corresponding allowable load. Consider only buckling in the plane of the figure and use E = 10.4 × 106 psi.
