Chapter 10, Problem 17RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
Sarcolemma and sarcoplasm.
Introduction:
The muscle tissues are categorized into skeletal, cardiac, and smooth muscles. Skeletal muscles are present in the upper and the lower limbs and they regulate all voluntary actions of the body. Skeletal muscles result in the movement of limb bones as they are attached to the muscles. The contraction of skeletal muscle causes the shortening of the sarcomere length and the movement of bone occurs.
