Summary Introduction

Concept introduction:

Iron DeficiencyAnemia (IDA) is one of the leading causes of anemia throughout the world. Approximately 30% of the world population is anemic. The incidence of iron-deficiency anemia is inversely proportional to the economic status of a country. The occurrence of iron deficiency anemia is around 10 times more in countries where meat consumption is low. Iron-deficiency anemia mainly attacks pregnant women, infants, and children. This is majorly amplified in females during their menstrual blood loss. Iron metabolism plays a major role in menstrual blood loss of women. Iron deficiency anemia is a systemic disorder problem that is mediated by multiple systems rather than exclusively a hematologic state associated with anemia.
