Concept explainers
To explain: Different units for representing the inclination of road.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Metric system is a basic unit system for length, weigh, and volume.
Generally, length is measured in meters, kilometers, centimeters, and millimeters. In metric system, length is measured in meters, kilometers, centimeters, and millimeters. If road inclination is to be written in metric system then 914 m can be written as 0.914 km or 91400 cm or 914000 mm. But writing the road distance in centimeters and millimeters are quite big numbers as well it won’t be that much eye catching for the traveler. So if it is written in kilometers then it will be better.
Conclusion:
Therefore, it would be better if instead of feet, kilometer is written.
