Summary Introduction

To review:

The study of physiology and its importance in the study of diseases.

Introduction:

The concepts of science are based on experiments, theories, laws, and conclusions that are derived from various experimental attempts to justify the provided information. Science deals with the study of different fields, such as biology, physics, and chemistry. These are the main disciplines of science that are further divided into various fields.

Explanation of Solution

Physiology is the sub-branch of biology that includes the study of anatomy and morphological characters of living organisms. The study of normal physiology and pathophysiology are complementary to each other. Pathophysiology is the study of changes in the physiological processes due to diseases or injury. The functions of an organ can be understood by the method of knock out in which either the particular organ is eliminated from the experimental organism or the functioning of the organ is changed in one way or another.

Physiology plays a major role in the study of diseases. Imbalance in any physiological process results in different symptoms. Many diseases have been identified and medicines or drugs have been developed accordingly. The study of physiology has been immensely helpful in the formulation of drugs and medicines.
