To sketch: The graph of the function $y=2\sqrt{x}$ by using transformation.

Solution:

The standard graph of the function $y=\sqrt{x}$ is roughly drawn as shown below in Figure 1.

Then, to draw the graph of $y=2\sqrt{x}$, stretch $y=x^3$  vertically by a factor of 2. Thus, the graph of $y=2\sqrt{x}$ is shown below in Figure 2.

Observe that Figure 2 is obtained from Figure 1 in such a way that it is stretched vertically by a factor of 2 units.
