The first person I asked "what is PR" was my mom. She said PR is the face of a company. I loved her short but effective response and I can understand why she thinks that. A person that does PR is always in the community and is the one talking with people the most (in my opinion). The next person I asked is a girl I work with at WAVE and she gave a different response. She said PR is the person that is in-charge of keeping a positive image of the brand. I loved her response and I thought it was very accurate and effective. The last person I asked was my brother Gage. He actually didn't really have any idea what PR really was. I also thought that was interesting as well. He wasn't able to provide a true definition. After discovering how people view PR I definitely think people just right away think of image. More specifically a company's image. My definition really connects with what Lizzy said. I think PR is the reputation you set for the brand. I do advertising consulting for my full time position now and I would definitely consider it to be more of a PR job. I love my job and I love that I am held to a standard to represent WAVE to the best of my ability. I think it is a very rewarding job.
