Hello, Do you thing You can help me adding something else to the next descriptiom? (I will appreciate a short answer). "Chagas’ disease also known as the American trypanosomiasis. It is caused by a parasite Trypanosome cruzi; this protozoan is transmitted by a Triatomine bug also known as the “kissing bug”. This bug usually bites around the mouth and other facial sites, feeding on blood and tissue juices, it then defecates leaving behind the parasite. The fresh wound serves as aport of entry, however there are other forms of transmission such as consuming contaminated food, blood transfusion or organ transplant form infected donors, an infected mother can also pass along the disease to her baby during pregnancy. Initial symptoms include swelling at infection site, fever, fatigue, rash, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea that subsides, causing people to commonly mistake with a flu. Overtime, the organism invades the central nervous system leading to heart failure, brain damage due to production of granulomas in brain, and meningoencephalitis. This disease is usually treated with nifurtimox, and antiparasitic treatment, and management of symptoms that are needed such as heart pacemakers, arrhythmia medication and surgery. Gastrointestinal comlication can also occur esophageal and colon dilation, depending on severity surgical intervention might be needed. Early detection and intervention is vital to prevent the disease from progressing, and try to further complications including death". Thank you in advance!
