Critical Path Method
The critical path is the longest succession of tasks that has to be successfully completed to conclude a project entirely. The tasks involved in the sequence are called critical activities, as any task getting delayed will result in the whole project getting delayed. To determine the time duration of a project, the critical path has to be identified. The critical path method or CPM is used by project managers to evaluate the least amount of time required to finish each task with the least amount of delay.

BMM, a swimming school that located at Southeast Asia, started its journey in 2015. During the two years since it opened, BMM had quickly expanded and the founder, Ali, planned to open another branch in 2018. Ali recruited instructors from a variety of backgrounds so that they could speak a range of languages, including English, Arabic, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil and Persian with their customers. Therefore, BMM was able to attract a large number of customers. BMM started with three employees in 2015 and grew to over 25 employees in over two years. With the increased number of employees, the company decided to set certain rules for employees to follow, such as fixed shifts and advance leave applications. However, as the number of employees increased, he was planning to restructure the organization so there would be more control and supervision and he aimed to give clear tasks to each employee by representing the company’s structure and giving each employee a title.
