Drugs and their conformation - drug conformation is the local arrangement of the atoms in a drug molecule. Drugs can be rigid (conformation restriction) and flexible (conformation flexibility) drug molecules. Flexible drug give ensemble of conformational states and rigid drug gives a single conformational state. More the rigidity in the drug structure, lowers the entropy loss during the rigid drug and ligand binding.
