   Draw two blue lines on the map to show the location of two transform fault plate boundaries.

3) **Observe Seafloor Spreading**:  
   Notice that points B and C were together 145 million years ago. Did the sea floor spread apart at exactly the same rate on both sides of the mid-ocean ridge? How can you tell?

4) **Distance Calculation**:  
   How far apart are points B and C today in kilometers?

5) **Average Rate Calculation**:  
   Calculate the average rate in kilometers per million years that points B and C have moved apart over the past 145 million years (be sure to show your work!).

6) **Conversion of Rate**:  
   Convert your answer above from kilometers per million years to millimeters per year.
