W1 Discussion 2 Response Shannon, Social workers may participate in research and assessment on a micro and mezzo scale by identifying and characterizing issues in their communities. As part of this, we will perform needs assessments to identify service gaps, implement programs to remedy those gaps, and evaluate the results. Social workers may also participate in practice assessment, which may include adopting evidence-based practices (EBPs), to ensure that the persons and families they assist get the best available care. Social workers will be better able to tailor treatments for a person or family if they carefully monitor their progress. The Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is intended to be used by the organization as well as by individuals, organizations, and bodies who choose to adopt it or use it as a frame of reference in their work. By identifying and defining difficulties in their communities, social workers can participate in micro and mezzo size research and assessment. We will conduct needs assessments to identify service gaps, create programs to fill those gaps, and evaluate the results as part of this. Social workers may also participate in practice evaluation, which may include implementing evidence-based practices (EBPs) to ensure that the individuals and families they serve receive the best treatment available. If social workers carefully monitor a person's or family's progress, they will be able to better adapt therapies for them. Rachel, According to NASW, A social worker's major job is to enhance their clients' well-being. In general, clients' interests come first. I think it's important to refrain from self-disclosure and sharing personal knowledge with clients if the things you are sharing would not be beneficial to their treatment, could trigger them, or violate their privacy or mental health.
