1 Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Screening; Week 3 Pavle Lippert Walden University HBSE: 6200 Dr. Maris Major December 17th
2 Abstract This literature highlights the strategic intervention plans tailored for the Hernandez family based on identifying Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). It outlines comprehensive strategies to address ACEs' impact on familial dynamics and individual well-being. Additionally, the abstract investigates methodologies for administering ACEs in a multi-faceted approach in young children or similar cases or situations.
3 Applicability in Lessons and Assessment Applicability. In the literature this week, the Center for Dease Control highlighted the usefulness of ACEs in emphasizing the child neglect, abuse, and mental health issues that can be inhibited in family dynamics and ancestors (2020). In the interview for this week, the Adverse Child Experiences (ACE) assessment was utilized effectively to highlight the critical maladaptive issues in the Hernadez children's day-to-day functioning. In the utilization of this assessment, there was substantial insight into the flexibility of the assessment in the application to find the significant stressors (internal and external) of children and their anointed families. As a practitioner, ACEs can help isolate critical factors and generate practical solutions to the most responsible characteristics of stressors in children's lives. Hernadez Family This week, the literature CDC gave insight into how to lower the chronic prevalence of economic insecurity (2020). In the interview, Juan Sr. expressed unrelenting effort in working but still felt behind—furthermore, education for financial literacy and money-saving strategies could be implemented. This mitigation of financial stress could be implemented in food stamps, bill extension payments, food stamps, and more. Regarding the children, they were building solid foundations for social connection and structure. The CDC highlighted the importance of modeling behaviors (social learning theory) and engagement in extracurricular activities such as afterschool programs where social learning and interactions with peers are appropriate, carting, and building solid foundations (CDC, 2023). In the family, utilizing Family Positive Experiences and Positive Childhood Experiences can help buffer the children’s ACEs in the long-term effects (Kirst-Ashman, 2017).

4 Administration of the ACE in Other Relatable or Applicable Situations. In mental health services, there is a drive to know the client, the immediate nuclear family structure, and dynamics (Schulman, 2019). In the construct of the ACE, there is an increase in the number of conversations that can be sensitive and complex for patients and their families. Utilizing Motivational Interviewing and the Generalist Intervention Model (GMI) can help the social worker become empathic, caring, and respectful of the family's situation (Kirst- Ashman, 2019). This assessment can be avoided if the applicable information is found and given by respectable sources and agencies working with the social worker on the case. Furthermore, when keeping the patients' goals in mind, not burdening them in the beginning with such a stressful situation could work in the favor of the social worker. Informed consent would be asked for from the parent to administer the assessment. If, in conclusion, the ACE yields no results, I would dig deeper to learn more about the family circumstances and move forward with the family's goals. Schulman et al. highlighted having a clear and defined strategy for implementing the information collected, if the assessment is successful, in ways that deal with and prevent treatment issues. ACEs are a multi-faceted tool for helping understand the mental health issues of children. The ACE can assist in determining at-risk youth and sexually inappropriate development in children. This tool can help assess and determine the root of trauma for an adult and the selected factors for the child.
