EAD 533 D1 T1 You are a principal and in a monthly department/grade level meeting several of the teachers tell you that morale at the school is the lowest it has ever been. They tell you that teachers are not feeling valued and are frustrated. As a school administrator, how can you use the concerned teachers in different leadership positions to establish and cultivate an inclusive, positive school/learning culture? As a principal in a monthly department/grade level meeting I would first acknowledge the teachers who show up to the meetings and engage weekly. The teachers who feel they are frustrated and not valued will have a chance to speak with the strategy team on their concerns. For example under mentor hours we have to prove, Candidates should believe that all students could learn and should set and support realistic expectations for student expectations. These expectations should be communicated in positive ways. One way to do this is regardless of economic background and where students are academically, I believe all my students can and will learn.
