SELF-EVALUATION 2 Explain the completion of your field education experience. My field educational experiences have led me to demonstrate multiple social work skills that are needed for being in the field of mental health. Those skills fall into the lines of being a team player, being able to effectively communicate within a multidisciplinary team, using active and reflective listening skills, setting clear boundaries, critical thinking, self-awareness, staying organized, and being able to work in a fast-paced working environment. Working with new clients every day and experiencing a wide range of forms of crisis has allowed me to learn new skills and techniques, and the field placement has also allowed me to apply therapy approaches that I have learned throughout my education. I would use valuable feedback from different employee members to learn other techniques that can be used with various clients and the challenges those clients may be facing. Completing each skill enhanced my ability to become a better professional and future social worker. My first quarter evaluation results as an intern social work student aligned with what I have been working on and what I have been learning as a new social worker. I recognized that I am a steadfast social worker, and I understand how to make my disabilities work for me while on the field. Propose personal action plans for future field education experience. My proposed personal action plan for future field education experience is that this internship is a good experience for me to learn about the population I want to work with. Walden has also been a good learning environment in creating a good outline and foundation to make sure I learned new skills that can best help me within the field of social work as well as giving me valuable experience of knowledge, skills, and tools for the future. I put my best efforts forward with every activity or experience while working with clients and employees.
