Job Listing Leader Teacher Position Strengths My strengths of social skills are due to the experience that I have had in the field and the natural ability to nurture children. These social skills have also helped build key relationships and maintain optimism in any unforeseen circumstance that I may face. The patience that I have developed from working with children has helped me acquire the skills that I have to effectively work with children. Weakness My weakness includes some minor time management skills. In this field waking up early in the morning is crucial to be able to plan and get prepared for your day. I have trouble in this field of waking up and being incredibly exhausted from the broad focus I have throughout the day. This broad focus has my mind scattered to want to achieve more things in a day than the hours and my energy allow me to. Another weakness I have would be conflict management. I am a positive person so any kind of negatively is something I try to steer away from but working on a team it is sometimes crucial to be able to voice a problem. Opportunities The opportunities that come from my skills will help me create a warm, loving, and positive learning environment for the children. From a safe space child can learn the important skills they need, like social and motor skills. Learning letters and colors are important but so is learning how to manage your emotions and cope with difficult situations. From my experience with gentle teaching, it has boosted the morale of the classroom into a positive direction. Threats The potential threats my weakness have that could affect my job performance would be a slightly disorganized team. With such broad focus and the desire for overachievement these mixed can cause confusion between ideas that I want to implement in the classroom. Another threat would be a lack of communication between team members when it comes to grievances or problems between members. I believe I would be the best candidate for the position mainly for my experience, passion, and success in the field. The skills that I possess have been developed naturally and through the love I have for the field. These social skills have helped me build and maintain relationships that have helped create a fun and loving environment for parents to confidently send their kids. The success I have seen through the opportunities of gentle teaching has pushed me to do further research on this technique and all the benefits it poses for our future leaders.
