Anti-Racist Personal Statement Social work is committed to solving vulnerable people's issues in society. To be successful and helpful in social work, one must be devoted to working in culturally and socially diverse settings in the community. For this to be possible cultural competency is an essential requirement. With this in mind, I will ensure that my knowledge is diverse to serve all communities in all social, racial, or ethnic backgrounds. I will utilize my social work and cultural diversity skills to ensure that I apply professionalism in all settings without discriminating against people because of their identities. I am willing to work with other people in all communities to achieve better results in social work. Devoted to fighting against all forms of racism, I will devote my skills, energy, and time to participating in activities promoting unity and equality. Thus, I will be part of the people fighting against prejudices and utilizing my advocacy skills to voice for inclusion. Despite their identity, everyone is entitled to a life worth living without discrimination. This means that I will be in the front row representing the need of others. Changing lives and being a part of antiracism initiatives will be prioritized.
