Scenario: Imagine you have been asked by a family member or friend to share what you believe about the truths and events you studied this week. Share in your own words several
insights as though you are really trying to teach someone. Include at least three scripture references to support the truths you teach (you may reference them, but there is no need to quote them). Share your testimony as you would when teaching someone. Your response will be evaluated by the following criteria:

(please include your word count at the bottom of the section).

Include at least 3 scripture references
.
Response: This week we were able to study the truths found in the article of faith number 1. We were able to reaffirm our
testimony about the Trinity since we were able to strengthen our testimony in God the Father in his Son Jesus Christ,
and in the Holy Spirit. I like how in D&C 130:22-23 we are taught that the heavenly father has a body of flesh and
bones just like Jesus Christ and like us, but that the holy spirit has only a spirit body and that it is made in this way so
that he can dwell with us, the other thing that I like about this scripture is that it helps us see how we were created
in the likeness of the heavenly father since we have the same characteristics as him by having a body, clearly not
perfect as His, I also really like how he is specific in saying that the Trinity are separate beings, they are not the same
being. Another scripture that we were able to study this week was the reference that Joseph Smith saw the heavenly
father and Jesus Christ as different beings in the moment of the first Vision, this account is in Joseph Smith—History
1:14–17 where he specifically refers to the heavenly father and Jesus Christ as different beings but who support each
other since the heavenly father declares to Joseph Smith that this is his son loved and he is the one who should listen
and follow, in addition, he was able to see the glory of Jesus Christ and the Father so that we remember that he was
transfigured to be able to endure this glory of these 2 heavenly beings. Another thing that I like is how much of us
can feel this way when faced with many commandments or many teachings of the gospel, we can feel confused, but I
think that in these moments of confusion, we can turn, as Joseph did, to the father and Jesus Christ and they will
help us through the holy spirit. Finally, we were able to study chapter number 1 of Moses where he was also
transfigured to endure the presence of the Trinity and he was able to see that they were different beings in addition
to this he was told you are my son, and he was informed that the work of This trinity is the same as bringing about
the immortality and eternal life of man. These 3 people are different, they are not the same, but even though they
are different beings, they work as one, with a single purpose, which is that we can achieve eternal life and be able to
live with them. Word Count:453 4. Synthesis: Personal Relevance and Application to the Real World
There are many serious challenges people encounter daily that are consequences of living in
a fallen world. The gospel truths taught in the Articles of Faith have tremendous power to help people find answers, rise above problems, or simply feel God's love and concern for them again.
Each week you will choose an issue (below) and think deeply about how the truths in that week’s Article of Faith can offer hope to those experiencing the problem. If you have another issue that particularly interests you, then choose your own:
abortion
abuse/bullying
addiction
depression
divorce
domestic violence
energy/environmental issues
violence
gambling
genocide
homosexuality
international terrorism
materialism
natural disasters
pornography
unemployment
poverty
racial strife/hatred
religious intolerance/persecution
threats to religious liberty
same-sex marriage
suicide
Scenario: Imagine you are speaking to someone who has experienced or has concerns about
the issue you have chosen. What would you share from the doctrine and fundamental truths that you have studied this past week to help that person? Include why you think these truths and doctrine are helpful and what they have meant to you. Be encouraging with the truths you know.
Write a response in at least 300-450 words
and list your word count at the end of your response.
5.
The world problem/issue I chose this week is:
racial strife/hatred
Response: I think that this issue that many people currently suffer from is something with which we can identify, and I think that
the things we learned this week help us a lot in the problems or conflicts that we face, not only speaking racially but
of all types of problems or conflicts that we face, especially I think that we can think that these trials are very similar
to those suffered by Joseph Smith or Jesus Christ since we can have the attitude that they had, Jesus Christ decided
to pray to his father to ask for strength on the mountain. of Gethsemane, God being his father sent him angels to
comfort him and he could feel this through the holy spirit since he does not have a body and can dwell in us because
of this, we can also think about the time when Joseph Smith He felt extremely distressed for not knowing which
church was the right one and decided to go to God for answers. God and Jesus Christ answered his concerns and
allowed him to have the company of the Holy Spirit later so he could guide the church of Jesus Christ in the future.
earth, he suffered from conflicts and threats from others but he always knew that he was not alone, that the
heavenly father and Jesus Christ had given him the company of the holy spirit to be able to seek revelation and be
able to overcome all these problems he had, When we are in moments like this I think that knowing that the trinity is
different beings is very useful and relieves us a lot since it allows us to understand that we are not alone, we have the
heavenly father and Jesus Christ on our side, and in addition to that They have given us the holy spirit to comfort and

guide us in this world, we must also think that these truths are proofs of love of Jesus Christ and the Father since
they do not want their children to be confused, so it is something that we must share with other people being very
respectful and with the attitude of helping.
