Module 7 Assignment 1.Children with ADD/ADHD might act without thinking, and those with EBD might act out due to emotional dysregulation. Social interactions are another characteristic of ADD, ADHD, and EBD that can affect children in a classroom. Children with ADD/ADHD might struggle following social cues and children with EBD might have trouble with social interactions because of their behavior issues. These are only three of the many characteristics of ADD, ADHD, and EBD that can affect children in a classroom. 2 One way the classroom learning environment can be modified to support a student with ADD, ADHD, or EBD is by using random selection when calling on students. Instead of calling on those that raise their hands, pick names out of a jar to call on students. Students will never know when their turn is coming up to participate, which will help encourage all students to pay attention. Another way the classroom learning environment can be modified to support a student with ADD, ADHD, or EBD is by allowing students to earn time to do whatever they want.
