Name: Stephanie Delgado Date: 11/16/2023 Class Day/Time: Thursday Personality Assessments Analysis Directions : In this assignment, you will complete two personality assessments to gain a better understanding of your own personality traits. Select one assessment from Part 1 and one assessment from Part 2. After reviewing the results from each assessment, answer the questions in Part 3. Please follow the revised instructions below: Part 1: Please choose ONE of the following personality tests from Part 1: 1. Jung Typology Test (Myers Briggs) Access the test at: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp • While taking the test, answer the questions honestly. This will ensure accurate results. 2. Five Factor Theory Test Access the test at: https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/IPIP-BFFM/ • For each statement in the test, rate how accurately it reflects your personality. Selecting the middle rating indicates that the statement accurately reflects your personality about half of the time. Which test did you complete? Five Factor Theory Test What were the results? Factor I was labeled as Extroversion Part 2: Please complete ONE of the following personality tests: 3. Colors Personality Test • Access the test at: https://365tests.com/personality-tests/free-color-personality-test/ • Approach the test with honesty and a reflective mindset. 4. Five Minute Personality Test (worksheet attached) Which test did you complete? Colors Personality Test What were the results? BLUE (analyser/organizer)
Part 3: Using the results from the assessments you took, respond thoroughly to the following questions. Ensure that each response contains a minimum of 50 words. 1. Reflect on the personality traits and characteristics that the assessments have identified. Consider how these traits resonate with your self-perception and behavior. Describe your personality based upon the results of the two tests you took. Use the terms and traits presented in the results to provide a detailed description. With the second test I got the color “Blue”, which means to be an analyser or organizer, which makes senses because with everything in my life I very much overthink the conservation, interaction, or event that happened in my life just to make sure that I did give it my all in everything that I do. 2. Do you think that the tests you took provide an accurate description of your personality or not? Discuss the accuracy of the personality assessments. Share personal examples to support or challenge the traits identified by the tests. Remember that no test is perfect, and individuals can have complex personalities. I agree with my test result in the senses that I am very much of an extrovert I love to talk to people get to know them see who they view the world because my viewing could be very much wrong and by getting to know different people and how they problem solve, I could adapt and find a different way in solving a problem. 3. Examine how the assessment results have helped you gain insight into your personality. Provide examples of how this understanding can be applied to your interactions with others, career choices, or personal development. The second test did open my eyes to the realization that I tend to overanalyze things and sometimes over complicate things for myself. Since I tend to think that there is more than one way to do things I tend not to come up with a solution and get stuck and confused in the end. 4. Compare and contrast the results of the two tests. Discuss any similarities or differences, and offer explanations for these disparities. They are very much similar results, I feel like they do go hand and hand but the only thing that is throwing me off is the organized part of it. I feel like I can be organized but in certain things. But I for sure don’t like things to be messy and at least in its spot and clean. Reflection: How will gaining a better understanding of your personality help you when engaging and interacting with others in various aspects of your life? Consider personal relationships, career decisions, and personal growth in your response. It will help to know what my strengths are and weaknesses in anything that I do, while that be in relationships, conversations with people, or careers because knowing what your personality might help you know how to interact comfortably and be yourself. Knowing that I have a bubbly personality, I know that I can rub people the wrong way and then I could be uncomfortable in that situation.
