2 Understanding the Interaction between Early Childhood Development and Behavior According to Vygotsky, language and prosocial action arise in response to social situation. Children who observe their parents' prosocial behavior and meaningful interactions are more likely to display these characteristics as adults. Prosocial behavior and social cognition, on the other hand, may develop more slowly in children raised in unloving environments (Conte et al. 2018). Vygotsky thought that formal schooling and peer relationships influenced a child's development significantly. Young children acquire a sense of success and belonging when they get positive reinforcement for prosocial acts such as sharing and helping others in social circumstances. As a result, more humanitarian initiatives are done, which aids in the development of empathy and altruism. Preschool is an important stage in children's language development. When toddlers learn to speak, they get the power to express their deepest feelings and thoughts. People begin to feel more secure in their interpersonal skills when they can engage with others swiftly and efficiently. Social connection is essential for children's social and cognitive development. It assists them in developing skills including as understanding and accepting other people's points of view, negotiating meaning, and internalizing social norms (Baskin-Downs, 2020). Vygotsky thought that language development and prosocial behavior are inextricably linked to social settings. When parents model these values through beneficial activities and meaningful interactions with their children, adults are more likely to internalize them. On the other hand, children reared in harsh settings may struggle to develop the characteristics of a good neighbor.
3 Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory has a profound impact on the relationship between preschool behavior and future development. Pleasant contacts with peers and authoritative adults, according to (Brazzelli et al., 2022), promote children's social and language development. Furthermore, the study's findings suggest that these social encounters favorably influence children's prosocial conduct. Children absorb society's laws and values as they grow older, which influences how they behave and make decisions in the future. Understanding these processes is necessary for promoting acceptable conduct and healthy development in young children.
