Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman was one of the supporters of the Affordable Care Act, which was signed into law on March 23, 2010, and has battled diligently for Medicare. She is committed to ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. This law's three primary goals were to expand Medicaid to include all adults with incomes below 138% of the federal poverty line, lower the cost of health insurance for more people, and offer financial incentives for the development of new medical technologies that will lower the overall cost of healthcare.
